bad news

9/24 We just found out that McKenna is not in the central registry system, so they are working to find the paperwork that was sent there. If they don't find it, Mckenna would be put back in the system, and would have to remain at the baby house for another 6 months. This situation has happened once in over 1000+ adoptions, so as you can see, our luck sucks! I can't tell you how disappointed, and devastated I am to know that this has happened. The agency tells me not to lose hope, because they feel very confident that this will be resolved. If it's easy, then why has it been two weeks. Can't they just go over there and show them the paperwork that they sent. Don't they keep these records? We have put our name in for another referral, while we wait for this to be resolved. I don't know how much more of this I can take. My family and friends have been wonderful through this ordeal, and I don't know what I would do without them..If any of you are reading this, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I am so blessed to have all of you in my life.

News Update

9/20 Well, I just found out that they are still in the process of getting McKenna released from the central registry. At this point, I just can't believe how this could happen...They have given me no time line on this matter. I just want to scream and cry. The baby's room is all done...and ready for Mckenna. I'm trying to be strong in this matter..I'll keep hoping it will be soon.

9/15 I got word back that I do not have to complete more paperwork. I need to send my visa application with my Kaz invitation on Monday, and we just wait. It still looks like the last week in September.

9/14 After a long 3 days, I got my visa invitation to Kazakhstan. I'm not quite sure what this means. I know that it's too late to travel on 9/20, so the other couple will travel without us. I was informed that we will not have to wait for another family to travel with us...we will travel when we are given the dates. They are thinking it will be within two weeks. This whole process is drivng me crazy. Why can't they just send us now...Mckenna is waiting for us. I guess patience is a virtue, and only good can come from this. Anyways, I am still awaiting my letter of invitation to apply for my visas..once I get that, I will have travel dates.

I just got off the phone with Adoption Agency and we do have our letter of invitation...we are awaiting a telex number to get travel dates.
